For maximum impact, viewers are presented with a variety of ways in which to view events. They can browse the Events List, click-through the dynamic Calendar Display to locate an event on a particular date, or enter a keyword in the Event Search function. Events consist of a calendar-based ‘mouse-over’ displaying the key information, and a ‘pop-up’ window for full information for ‘upsell’ opportunities.
The various display options make the Events Calendar module extremely flexible. Pagination will automatically control an unlimited number of events on a page-by-page basis. Past events can be displayed and you can also reverse the list by date order - which is ideal to display news snippets. A specific date range can be set, or simply limit the list to; events for today, the coming week, month or the following year - very flexible!

Member Interactivity
A simple form enabling members to create their own events, extends this module’s usage. Members events can be active immediately or sent to a pending queue to wait for approval.
Effective Administration
When administering events, common labels and fields displayed (such as location, organiser and contact name) are preset for convenience, but additional custom text fields can be added using a simple drag and drop control. The ‘copy’ function makes it easy to create new events of a similar nature with pre-populated details - ready to update as required. To avoid unnecessary database entry, a recurring schedule for individual events can be set to daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Past and Archived Events
Past events are separated from current events with text links to view them by day, month or year. Once an event date has ‘passed’, the Auto Archive function will kick-in and automatically remove it (or move it into Past Events) without requiring any administration.
‘Pop-up’ Details for Complex Events
A printable pop-up page shows full location details, images, related links and other information required to entice and inform your viewers.
Built-in RSS feed generation
Viewers are encouraged to subscribe to the Events List through an RSS feed. Subscribers can be automatically notified when new events appear.
Site-wide Searching
The Events Calendar module integrates into Contegro’s® site-wide search function. When performing a universal keyword search, events are included in the results list.
