The Contegro® Blog and Blog Pro Modules are the foundation for dynamic written discussions with your website viewers. Blogging is interactive and absorbing. There are no rules to starting a Blog; conversational debates are updated on an informal basis by yourself, your staff or your website visitors.

Bloggers can comment on Topics by posting a ‘reply’ – appearing instantly or by approval – or creating a new Topic for inspiration and reflection. Contegro’s® Blog modules are truly a resourceful way to get to know your website viewers by enabling you to facilitate discussions that relate to your business industry, products or services. Levels of restricted access can be applied to discussions to segment public, website members and internal business.

Comprehensive Management

Unlimited discussions and topics and can be updated and administered as often as necessary to maintain appeal and constructive participation.

Controlled Access for Members

Member level permissions can be applied to control access for website members such as; business partners, suppliers and customers. Restrictions can also be imposed on the Topic and Comment forms, restricting public to ‘read-only’ access, whilst members have full access to the Blog.

Spam Eliminator

The Topic and Comment forms include an optional visual ‘Captcha’ control, which helps put a stop to annoying automated spamming.

Email Subscription

To keep up-to-date, website viewers can subscribe to an individual Blog thread. Subscribers receive a notification email containing the latest Blog comment and a convenient option to unsubscribe from the thread.

Site-wide Searching

The Blog Modules integrates into Contegro’s® site-wide search function. When performing a universal keyword search, comments are included in the results list.

Blog Pro - Upgrade

Article Driven

The key difference between the two Blog Modules, is that Blog Pro focuses on the ‘article’ - visually displaying a full-page of content - with optional follow-on comments. Blog is simpler and comment-driven, with the initial topic being a short provoking question or statement.

Full Editor and File Upload

Administrators create Blog Topics and Comments using a full-text editor while Bloggers can create Topics and Comments using a limited version of the editor. Both versions include the ability to add related images and documents within Topic content.

Advanced Listing Feature

A list displaying latest posts, or most popular posts can be added to any page of your website which links to the main Blog section. Enable RSS feeds so Bloggers are notified automatically of updates.

Approval Process

Blog administrators can enable comments for approval before they appear on the live site to avoid unwarranted comments.

Publish Date Settings
